Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hi there!
My name is Madi Coonts and I’m the Chapter President of Alpha Omicron Pi at the University of Northern Colorado. AOII is a wonderful organization that exposes its members to a variety of opportunities. Our chapter gets involved on campus by competing in intramural sports together, and interacting with other organizations on campus through socials. We raise money for the Arthritis Foundation by hosting a philanthropy event at our chapter house in the fall and spring every year. This is a great way for members to give back to the community! In addition, we give our members countless opportunities to excel by providing over 30 leadership positions that members can hold and gain insightful experience through, that can later be applied to life after college. When talking about sororities, the concept of sisterhood is often discussed. Sisterhood means something different to everybody, and it can be found in a variety of places. To me, sisterhood is bigger than myself. It is a support system, a family, and a community who will never give up on you. I found my forever sisterhood at Alpha Omicron Pi, and I encourage those who are reading this to find your forever sisterhoods, wherever they may be. I also want to strongly encourage everybody reading this to sign up for recruitment, because it may just be the best decision you’ve ever made. If you have any questions about AOII or Greek Life in general, feel free to email me at aoii.president.unco@gmail.com and I would be more than happy to answer them!
Best,

Madi Coonts
